Here's why:

The Twin Cities will be on stage in early September. As the GOP descends on Saint Paul to convene around their candidate we want to show the world that partying elephants isn’t all there is to Minnesota.

Our group and our effort are named Provention, and we are organizing A Convention-Time Concert for People, Peace and The Planet as well as other artistic responses to The Republican National Convention including The Poster Offensive at The Black Dog Cafe.

We need your support to assist in securing the best quality artists that will make the loudest, most beautiful music possible. Your donation will be used to pay for concert infrastructure, artist transportation and housing. We are non-partisan and your donation is fully tax-deductible.

Charities

All profits from Provention will go to charities. We've selected three that reflect our values.

The first is an artist emergency relief fund. Our contribution will be earmarked for Minnesota artists. The fund is overseen by our fiscal partners, Springboard for the Arts.

The second is The Minnesota Land Trust, a group committed to preserving the environmental heritage of Minnesota.

Last is a group committed to improving public education in Minneapolis, Achieve Minneapolis. We will earmark our contribution for their Arts for Academic Achievement program.

Thank you for your generosity!
